Sadly unappealing

This will never happen in Malaysia. Just saying....
Spotted this sign together with @cubie when we were lunching at Banoi.
Today's special is crispy pork belly with tissue paper (white stuff upper left)

I was really looking forward to today's dining experience as they have the Friday special crispy pork belly. Unfortunately the experience was terrible.

First they made us wait for almost 1 hour cause they forgot our order.
The waiters were very apologetic and offered us snacks to compensate for the long wait. @cubie got ice coffee but snacks take time to prepare and I have a 1pm meeting so no snacks.

That was before food arrive. When food arrived, mine was contaminated. They offer refund and replacement without hesistation. They must be thinking our table damn sui. I decided to go with replacement as I was damn hungry and the tissue looks clean-like it was used to wipe the bowl dry and forgot to remove it.
@cubie ''s soft shell crab salad, artfully arranged in an appetising manner.
The actual crispy pork belly which I will never order again. It's actually very nicely rendered piece of meat.

When it was time to pay, the cashier asked how's everything. Hahaha. .... bad move. I started complaining and the waiters nearby also nod nod. In the end they put it on the house.

This is the first time I've had such a bad experience in Banoi and I am a regular. I will still go back la but will eat the safer pork patty salad.
Base on my dining experience here, the eateries take feedbacks very seriously. Some would even refund you if you said the food tastes bad. It operates on good faith that you not saying it's bad to get a free meal.

I don't think eateries in MY or SG will refund on basis the food is bad, they will only refund if there is something organic like a dead centipede. Too many opportunists.

I sincerely hope this faith and trust will persevere through the surge of Asian migrants.
As for me and crispy pork belly. .
I guess we are not meant to be
